If that doesn't prove that a middle weigh can take a heavy weight punch we have nothing to say to each other. a middleweight cannot take tyson's bombs... no way... the only people that could beat tyson in his prime would be taller heavyweight boxers with a huge reach advantage and an awesome jab and/or amazing counterpunchers, lamotta who constantly stayed within the punching range of his opponents would stand no chance.... zero chance... less chance than you stating something coherent about football or boxing...

BYU got a major bump by beating a horrible Pitt. team and BSU got no bump by beating three ranked teams. Bring in Louisville is a misnomer and you know it. I want to know what year Louisville went undefeated? It wasn't 2004, or ever, so please enlighten me when it happened and I will admit I was wrong. oh comon tim, you were stating how great it is to beat a team with a clean record, so i brought up louisville... yes boise st didn't get much of a bump for beating hawaii and oregon, oh well tough luck... but overall the schedule was still weaker (relatively speaking) and the team didn't deserve an ncg invite.  no way around that one tim...

I would like to know when I said BSU should have had a title. I instead asked what was more impressive. You sound like a bad  politician when you talk like that.

winning the national title is the most impressive thing a 1a team can accomplish, and therefore, what byu did was more impressive...

however, if you want to look at how much more a team has accomplished from one year to the next, i would say (using your pathetic logic) that what hawaii did in 1999 is much more impressive than what boise st did in 2006.  in 1998 hawaii went 0-12 and finished the season ranked 112th out of 113 teams.  in 1999 hawaii had terrible pre-season power ranking but finished the year 9-4, winning a bowl game and ranked 50th... so using your messed up, convoluted logic, hawaii accomplished plenty more than boise st because they started all the way at the bottom and ended up being better than average...  makes no sense, does it tim?  well that is how i feel about everything you post...

So are you saying that Holyfield was "bigger" than Tyson?

What was his prime? Was it when he fought no ones and won or was when he fought winners and lost?

No what what Hawaii did in '99 is very impressive and I would almost put it on par with what BSU, or Utah did, but it lacks some top 25 wins.

Please show me how James Toney could not take a heavy weight punch.

LaMotta was was a great counter puncher who could roll a punch like no one else. He could, also, use that to bully a guy in a manner that Holyfield wishes he could. LaMotta was like watching Marciano fight just smaller, but not by much. It's the old stick and roll style.
Tyson in his "prime" never fought a guy worth a damn, so call it what you will. He was still a joke.
