Reports are out that David Stremme has signed with Penske to be a test driver for the Sprint Cup series after he has turned down atleast 2 Sprint Cup rides (so says NASCAR.com). From what I have heard the perk for Stremme is a possible Coca-Cola 600 ride on Labor Day weekend if Hornish decides to drive Penske's TBA entry for the 77 indy car in the 500.
so 2 questions
1) Should Hornish take the ride in the Indy 500, a race that he can win, or should he blow off the 500 and race in the 600 where more than likely he will struggle?
2) Do you see Stremme's signing as being a long or short term deal with Penske? If it is a long term deal how do you see Stremme fitting into Penske's long term plans?
