But what about folks on your side of the aisle that have groups that they fear and sometimes hate? Fundamentalist Christians, "Neo-Cons," Southerners, white males...etc, etc. I'm not saying you specifically feel that way, but you have to admit every political perspective has groups that they stereotype and demonize. Somehow I don't get why its only certain groups that are "allowed" to get their panties in a...

It's simple, gohoyas; "We" don't hate fundamentalist Christians. Strongly oppose legislating the Bible......yes. Big difference. You won't find anyone "on my side of the isle" who is for getting rid of freedom of religion. Liberals have long been about protecting everyone's civil liberties.....period. The ACLU even took up the KKK's cause when certain cities refused them a permit to rally. And white males? Come on, we are made up of plenty of white males and you and everybody knows it. The fact is, we are about "tolerance".....period. I'll honor one's right to practice the religion of their choice, always. However, should that person try and push an agenda based on their religious principles then yes, we have a problem. Separation between Church and State was a key principle that our Forefathers believed in. I mean come on, they took of from England for that very reason. Several prominent men of the time tried to convince G Washington to make Christianity the official religion of our country and he absolutely refused.

Yeah the same people I see every day who live in a run down trailer but go and buy a 30 pack of beer and a carton of smokes. Or kind of like to people in N.O. who got the Goverment prepaid cards and went and spent them on hookers, strip clubs, and beer.

You could say the same for any religion. Pick up a history book sometime. It's not like you have to go get some "liberal" education at an institute of higher learning. You can teach yourself. Oh wait, you obviously already do that.....Fixed News watcher, never mind. Tell me genius, how "peaceful" is it to murder doctors who perform abortions? Or how about being so pro war.......as if JC was an American or something? Ever heard of the Crusades? Want some more.....ok, how about the lie that says the Jews crucified Christ? Eeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr.....actually, the Romans did. That "Jew" thing was all political.........just like it is now. You know; "The liberal Jew media"!
Oh and, at least try and make some attempt at proper grammar, ok? I'm sure you're an "English as official language" supporter. Therefore, you should try and write it properly.

Aren't any of you on the "right" going to denounce Sportsknowitall's obvious racist post? You say you aren't racist, here is your chance to prove it.

I'm a republican, of the moderate persuasion. I have always said that John McCain would be my ideal president. He's now running and that makes me very happy.
With that said, I'm still voting for Obama. Other than McCain, he's the first canidate to show me that he cares, and Obama is standing up for what he believes in.
The far right is way more dangerous than the far left is, and I see John McCain inching his way there everyday to appease voters. If McCain doesn become president, I wouldn't be that upset, but I just believe Obama could do a better job.
I have always said that there are a lot more democrats out there than republicans, but the democrats don't vote. They don't belive or trust in the government. Well, this is their chance. They are turning out in huge numbers and if they do that in November I don't see how McCain can win without giant smear campaigns (that have already started).
It'd be nice for once to watch an election go by without people "cheating" for vote. Do it the right way. Obama's doing that. He is refusing to stoop down to the levels of the politicians all around him and I commend him for that.
