1.  Reports are that they actually requested a white stripper, and why does sexual preference fit into this.  If I like white, black, asian, or hispanic chicks it doesn't mean I'm racist.

-No problem with desires for other races of women. Thats how I roll.  I have heard your version, but I doubt it.  Look any yellow pages for any stripper/escort agency.  Notice how it says, "Blondes, Brunettes, Redheads, latinas, Asians, Black girls, etc.  They do not just randomly send a black girl when you might have been expecting a blonde."  Guys are very picky and they are paying hundreds of dollars.  Just make sense.

2.  Interviews with students around Duke that I saw at the time (mostly females, a few of them black) suggest that the lacrosse players had a very good reputation.  Reportedly, they were generally one of the more reserved groups at parties, and who do you think knows the players better?  The professors or the other students who were actually at those parties with them.

-I honestly heard the exact opposite.  Crazy party boys always on the edge and getting in trouble.  Note that one of the four was arrested in D.C. when he and his friends assaulted and battered a  homeless man.  Lacrosse is a fringe sport.  They don't get much attention.  My experieince is that they go out of their way to cultivate the bad boy image.  It is mostly an east coast sport for rich guys who couldn't play football, basketball, or baseball.   I heard they were always having alcohol related problems at this house.  Fights, property damage, date rape allegations...

3.  The majority of the white professors at Duke did condemn the players, but they also did not claim they were innocent.  In fact, they did something that doesn't seem to make sense to people lately, but they waited to see what the police determined in the investigation.

-I hadn't seen a racial/gender breakdown.  I would say most everybody figured out it was largely bogus very early on.  The girl's own father was saying she was a drugged drunken crazy false accuser.  It was Nifong who went obviously mad, perhaps for political reason.

4.  Ok, you claim some rich white frats went out of their way to hire black strippers.  Maybe they like black chicks.  Maybe they were racist a$$holes.  I don't know.  But basically what you are saying is that the actions of frat guys at USC and SMU is somehow related to the Duke lacrosse team because they were both made up mostly of rich white males.

-Here goes.  All I am saying is that it happened at every school I went to for 5 years, and a fraternity seems largely like a lacrosse team to me, (they had their own house like a frat-  you don't see this in football, basketball, baseball.)

It's kind of like a snipe hunt.  You may be forgetting that there are young guys or pledges, rookies, whatever.  FNG's who don't know the score.

-Senior guy tells 'em hot strippers are coming over.  They are all white, so they picture hot blondes, etc.  Then they are all getting drunk/high/revved up for hours.  Now the black girls show up that only the older guys knew about.  Everybody was horny.  Now the test is which young guys will get down with the ghetto ho's.  This provides unique entertainment to the older guys.  The next day, weeks, months, years, those guys who got down are ridiculed and serve as the butt of endless jokes.  Get it?  The girls are not just black like Halle Berry.  Ghetto ho's are specifically requested.  More funny, right?

Lumping people into groups because of race, sex and financial status, but you don't think twice about it because your going after rich white men.  If someone had written that exact same paragraph but written poor black men, or rich black men for that matter, a bunch of people would answer back calling you racist.  Thats what was meant by the double standard mentioned by somebody earlier.

-Sorry, but this was a legal case, where race, gender, and affluence were all factors.  I am an attorney so I am not going to decline to discuss obvious factors in a case.  Race, gender, and wealth all played a role.

Responsible parties-

  1. Players
  2. Accuser
  3. Faculty
  4. Prosecutor

They all danced together.  You want to blame 2, 3, and 4.  I blame them all.

The players shouldn't have all gotten wildy drunk.  Shouldn't have hired whores for a sex party.  The crazy broad shouldn't have gone nuts.  (Nobody knows what happend in there)  The faculty should never have cancelled the sport.  They should have backed the players, innocent until proven guilty.  They banned drinking by the players forever.  If the prosecutor had performed properly, the case would never have become famous, and would have disappeared.  Since he was a lawyer serving the public, and obligated to search for the truth, I hold him to a highest standard.  He was the worst and I blame him most of all.

Those boys hired a stripper.  Not saints.  They are spoiled rich kids who hired a black stripper for fun.  She said they chanted many racist phrases etc.....  She said, he said.  That's the b___ about rape.  I'd be interested to see if instead of Duke it was NC A&T and a white female stripper.  I bet we'd see Brocious on the other side.  Talkin about how "they should have not have done it anyway......its inmoral!"  Whatever.  I'll tell ya one thing, one of those rich kids said the dam__st thing;  At a press conference he said;  I just wonder what happens to people like me who don't have the means to obtain outstanding council."  Well, that's pretty close to a quote, close enough.  Point, it happens every single day son, every single day.

I never claimed those guys were saints who never do anything wrong.

And no, if it was a group of black guys who were accused of raping a white stripper I would support their innocence unless it was proven otherwise.  Thats the basis of this country's legal system, innocent until proven guilty, but lately we seem to have forgotten that.

And what if it had been a group of black males accused of raping a stripper and the majority of the white faculty threatened to resign unless action again them was taken and published ads in the paper slandering the accused men, all without any evidence pointing towards their guilt?  What would you, and the rest of the country, think of a group of educated white men condemning a group of black students for a crime before there is any evidence against them?  They would be attacked as racists (and rightfully so if race was the reason they assumed guilt).  However a majority of black professors at Duke did this same thing, were shown to be wrong, never issued an apology (instead claimed everyone misunderstood them) and we never hear another word about it.

That, my friend, is the definition of a double standard and if you ask me is racism because no matter how you cut it you are treating people differently based on their skin color.

So if a people has experienced overt, palpable racism for generations, you don't think that one day some of those people might act the same way for one incident?

Didn't see any of those white boys swinging from trees.

Really?  Sure about that?  14 black men have been released from prison in Dallas (the county that Dallas, TX is in, actually) due to new DNA evidence.  But, I'm sure you're right.  Our justice system works well......for you.  Guess you don't have to worry about that announcement coming over the police scanner, "suspect is a black male, 6'1, 260lbs, but any black male will do".  Tell me another story, uncle white guy..pleeeeeeeeeeese!

The world isn't all happiness America's moving very slow there will always be a form of black struggle for equality simply because of slavery, you can't just say it's over now, when it is always brought up somewhere
