Here's the bottom line-you Nebraska fans are going on the hope that Pelini turns out to be a great head coach

Hey for once we actually agree on something!  You're absolutely correct on this one and it's basically the same thing i've been saying about Hawkins.  I'll give you this much...Hawkins has the program headed in the right direction...how far he can take it remains to be seen though...just like Pelini.  You can dig all you want but you won't find anywhere that I belittle Hawkins unless you consider saying "i'm not impressed" as belittleing.  Also the words "savior" and "Callahan" never collided in the same sentence at least from me.

And "no where" has nothing to do with reading...but point taken

You are all right. It is not the first time that I have posted something that was a mistake. I love that you Fusker fans come on our message board to comment on things like that. Just makes me happy that I have a life and you are having a hard time finding things wrong with my analysis so you find mistakes I have made in the locations of schools. I am glad that I can help by adding some comedy to your dull life.

I want to know why on earth you think that Scott will get in trouble and be a bust? Is there any logic to why you think these things that you post or is there a Fusker class that meets once a week to discuss the dumbest comment that can be made on another teams board. Fusker fans make my day when posting on here. Keep it up. I can take all the criticism that you Fuskers can dish out.

I live and work near Boulder and really think it's hilarious when Buttfello fans (if there really is such a thing) try to justify not ever selling there tiny little stadium out because theres so much else to do, and the the reason NU always sells out is there's nothing else to do, what a bunch of crap ! You mean to tell me CU doesn't have 47,000 fans willing to go spend a few hours on a saturday, 6-7 times a year to support the team ? I really don't get that, can you ButtsFan55 explain to me why ?

Well if we finish 6-6, how bad is Nebraska gonna be, because there is no question which team is better this year and CU is a lot better than the Nebraska.

Huckleberrylove,

You are right the fan support in Boulder is a little soft but renewed adminstration support  and Hawkins recruiting studs will help. Nebraska fans are die hards I will give you that but you guys are a little too serious. You guys want to shoot somebody if they lose a game maybe even yourself. Not to mention half of your crowds are senior citizens.  So dont boast about that to much. There are alot of Colorado fans spread out all over the country where alot of Nebraska fans are centralized in the state. If you looked at in state students in Colorado as opposed to out of state that ration is probably much great then is the corn state. Thats just a guess though. Also, like someone mentioned before there are pro teams in Colorado and they are good. In Nebraska there is alot of Corn loving gone on, which is a little scary.

Pop the Kernel !!

I agree with Buffs06. A majority of the students/fans are either from or live out of state. If you want to get really technical the we can look at population per city. Lincoln is the capital of NebrASSka and has a population of 241,167 and is the 2nd largest city in the state with no other surrounding D-1 schools. Boulder has a population of 91,685 and is the 11th largest city in the state with rival college CSU in Fort collins with a population of 128,026 only 56 miles away.

I also agree with Buffs06 that Nebraska fans are some of the most dedicated fans in college football and in no way am I saying our fans are better. The fan support for CU has sucked for a long time and is mainly based on how the team is doing. And yes I will still say that us having more options for sporting events does hurt the attendance of CU games. When the average persons Sports/Entertainment budget is spread out between this many teams it is hard to get the average fan to make the trip to Boulder. I'm sure that some Fusker fan will have something to say about this info since no matter what I or other Buff fans have to say seems to be completely wrong. Go Buffs! Darrell Scott For Heisman!

And why is that a bunch of crap?  Are you going to seriously suggest that there is as much to do in Lincoln as there is in Boulder?  Come on, surely you're smarter than that!  There's a lot of reasons that fan support for the Buffs is lousy, and that is certainly one of them.

You corn fans, you guys kill me with your ridiculous comments!  Thanks for that, I can use the laughs!

I'm sure that some Fusker fan will have something to say about this info since no matter what I or other Buff fans have to say seems to be completely wrongActually this is one of the most sensible and logical things you've brought to the table.  Good Point, and I don't think a whole lot of people from Nebraska would argue it.  We're standing on one leg when trying to argue how "cool" our state is.  I mean honestly I'm a laid back guy that enjoys just being outdoors whether it's fishing, hunting, golfing or whatever so I could find plenty to do in Nebraska (i live in oklahoma though...not much better), but as far as big city life, or professional sporting events you're not gonna squeeze much out of ol' Nebraska!
