@A&M - Loss... one of the better running games in the league is going to runn all over those new LBs and will confirm if that dline has improved at all.
New coach. New schemes. It could take a little for them to get acclimated. I kind've wish we could play them earlier in the year before they have a chance to gel, but either way I'll say its a win.
OU - L... shut up if you thought other wise. Prince only owns TX... not OU. Welll, i guess we will find out at aleast.
Ron Prince seems to circle the date of the biggest opponent that he faces. Hopefully he does so with this one and pulls out a win. Not going to guarantee a victory here... but you never know.
@KU - Nope... Prince hasnt beaten one of his rivals, and its not going to start here.
He's going to have to win this one. Fans aren't going to be happy losing to UK for the third straight year. Predicting a victory here.
So anywhere from 6-6 to 4-8. Not looking good gents.
I think Prince will have this team ready to go. I think he deserves another year regardless, but he will be walking a tight line if he doesn't succeed this year.

I agree. Even if he goes 2-10 (long shot, but could happen with a huge collapse) he does deserve that 4th year of evaluation. Plus he will finall have his guys in there next year, as seniors and juniors. If he fails then, well, he made his own bed and KSU can decide what to do with it. It doesnt bode well that a new AD will be there with no connections to him and a fan base that grows more weary of his failures as time goes by. Good luck cats. Except in Ltown.

Well then I guess we don't have to play next year in football KUnKC4ever has layed it out for us. Well then I'll be waiting about September next year so you can tell us how we are going to do in basketball for 09. We will save a lot of money we won't have to practice because it's been predestined by the wise one KUnKC4ever.
Oh, wait didn't he say that the Wildcats didn't stand a chance against KU in basketball this year?
And Reessing is a good QB but he is not as good as his numbers showed and when you play tougher schedule this year you will find that out. KU will have a respectable record but nothing like last year.

I'm really disappointed in how the 3 game series between Kansas State and Fresno has turned out. I was really excited initially because Kansas State was a top 10 team when we found out Fresno would be playing them. I'd really appreciate it if you could finish that 0-3 off against us, and then sweep through your conference schedule.
But from our experience, Jucos are just a quick fix,. Kansas State will only get rolling by getting at those high schools and bringing in talented Freshman. The jucos just don't hang around long enough to have a real impact. Also, bringing in jucos builds a sense of apathy from the fans because you never really get to know who you're rooting for.

Im a Big XII fan, not just a NU fan. But how can you guys talk about beating NU. I know NU didn't have a good season last year, but the only offense you guys had in Lincoln was Nelson. With an improved D this year, I dont think NU will come out of Manhattan with a L.

It's hard to tell what either NU or KSU will do next year. Nebraska has a new coach and will have a new offense. KSU has a lot of new players. There is a lot of question marks around both. I think NU's defense should be pretty good with Palini coming in.

Offense isn't changing. As it will be run by the same OC as last year. I am sure there will be new wrinkles in it but the passing game will be there. The biggest transition will be getting the blackshirts back on track.

7 wins, 4th in Big XII North and Ron Prince working on a new job.
How can things be going well under Prince when he keeps looking for new coaches each and every year?

You know this is what I think. We will either go 0-12 or 12-0 or somewhere in between. Same goes for every other big 12 team cause we all start 0-0. Who is going to beat who will be decided on the playing field this fall. KSU has as good of a chance as anybody else if they play consistently and that defense shows up. I don't know but we will see.

I'm not holding my breath to see where Prince takes this team. Personally, I feel like he gave too much up by tabbing Freeman as his starting QB his first month on the job. We lost a lot of talent at the QB position right off the bat, not to mention, it doesn't seem like he has put the pressure on Freeman to have to compete for the job. I'm also less than satisfied with his job managing the other coaches. Under Snyder, coaches left because they were successful and people wanted them for Head Coaching positions. Under Freeman, it appears coaches are leaving just to get out or because they don't share the same philosophy as Prince. Finally, I have a huge problem with a coach who can get his team so fired up to play Texas and compete on a top notch level, but then falls apart the remainder of the year. I | |
