Is Slash the Greatest Guitar Player Ever?

If you're looking for guys with rock cred too then Yngwie Malmsteen or Steve Vai are probably the best...IMO.

Haha...good one Sgt. Pepper. MCCarteney was a great song writer, a nice singer and a jack of all trades as a musician. He also, some would debate, had a more talented fellow beside him. But there are many other better singers, better piano players, better song writers.....and he's not even close to the best guitar player of all time. Which is the title of this thread.

BEST BASS PLAYER? Are you freakin' kiddin' me? Best freakin' bass player? That's like saying Scottie Pippen was the best player on the Bulls...you know...ole second fiddle, so to speak. Un-freakin'-believable.

Oh and what's with the Slash references. Try readin' my post. I haven't said anything about Slash. I made references to Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen as far as rock guitarist. I guess you don't think they are very good huh? LOL. Go look them up on YouTube or something and get back to me with this Sir Paul BS.

Although from reading on the Horse racing board you're also the guy who didn't think Sham was a very good 3 yr. old until talkin' it over with your "racin' buddies" so maybe you are jumping the gun here too. I know you are if you think Paul M. is better than Vai or Malmsteen with a guitar.

And I like McCartney...he's one of the best jack of all trades guys in the biz as far as musicians, song writers and singers. But we are talkin' just one thing...THE GUITAR. He's no where close to the starting lineup here.

ok ok he is not but look at playboys list 1965 through about 80.    my point is he is the greatest all around muscian in the history of music. excluding classical. period . thats how i see it . guys like sprinsteen are not even a pimple on sir pauls ass

First of all, Rolling Stone Magazine should have named it "The 100 Greatest ROCK Guitarists Of All Time". There are only a few Blues players in the list and no Jazz at all. There is also no mention of Dwayne Eddy. If he isn't in the top 100 the list is bogus, to say the least. Ji
