Alright everyone...im starting a thread that i would hope would go on for a very long time. the question is who is/was better Troy Tulowitzki or Derek Jeter?
you can compare using info stats and everything else. go back into the past to like comparing rookie years and everything else...im excited to see what you guys have to say about it.

I am a huge Rockies fan and Tulo is going to be great. With last year being his rookie year and Jeter proving himself year in and year out, right now Jeter is the man. Lets hope Tulowitzki has a Jeter like career and then we can compare the two of them. They both play the game the right way and I see alot comparisions.

Troy Tulowitzki is coming off of a MONSTER rookie year, but Derek Jeter has been in the league longer and therefore has more experience. If I were to choose a 2008 fantasy player between the two, I would go with Jeter. But to sign a player for a long-term contract, right now I would go with Tulowitzki because I can tell that he will probably turn into a star.

As a Red Sox fan I hate saying this, but I think that Derek Jeter is a better player than Troy Tulowitzki becuase he has proven himself more and he has been in the league a lot longer and he has porduced. There is no doubt that Troy had a monsterous year in 2007, but I would have to go with Jeter on this one. Eventhough I dislike the Yankees, I will have to say Jeter! Though the Rockies have a great player!

Obviously Derek has the creds, he is a team leader a great player, just 100% total stud. I will say that Jeter has to have the edge on Tulowitzki right now. On the other hand if you just compare the two rookie yaers I would go with Tulo. He commanded the respect of all the veterans in the Rockie Clubhouse by making brash statements and demanding 100% from everyone on the team. Then he went out on the field and backed that talk up. When he walked into the clubhouse during a time the Rockies were struggling and said "I have never been on a losing team before and I am not going to start now." his teammates took notice rallied around him and went on an amazing run. All said only time will tell who will be the better player between the two of them but as a Rockie fan, if Tulo comes even close to being at Jeters level that would be great.

If you compare rookie seasons than I would have to go with Tulo! But other than that you cant compare the two this early in Tulos career! GO Rockies!!

there are very few big leaguers that can boast the hardware that jeter carries around.but more importantly the respect that he draws from his teamates,foes and fans across the country.what other player could stand in the way of a-rod bein the man in new york .jeters legacy will have more to do with leadership qualities and his championships then stats,which are sick by the way,nobody has been more consistent the last 10 yrs.highlight reels can be filled with jeter makin big plays when the game is on the line! tulo is a sloid plyer rt now,great rookie season,but until the boy turns into a man and does it for a decade you should find another guy to try yer comparisons!good luck colorado,Todd Helton rules!
