Does anybody know where I can find the Navy football schedule for the 2008-2009 season? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

TOWSON?!?  They're a 3-8 FCS (div II) team.  At least Delaware is one of the best div II teams and better than a lot of BCS division teams.

The Birddog is the best source of info on future Navy football schedules and just about anything else you need to know about Navy football.  Go to the site (http://thebirddog.wordpress.com/) and click the future schedules link at the top of the page.

Gotta agree -- Towson has me scratching my head.  For that matter, I'm not sure why we schedule 1AA/FCS teams.  We get no credit when we beat them and it's a bad loss when you lose.  Plus, few people recognize all of the advantages that 1AAs have (playing transfers immediately, etc.)  Take them off of the schedule and put on a mid-grade 1A team.

We need to change it up a little bit. I realize sched is done far in advance and with contracts but some of these teams are getting a little old.

The only way Navy should ever play Towson would be a pre-season game for laughs, just to let our offense goof around and run up about 100 points.

I agree playing 1AA teams does nothing for us considering we seem to loose to them way to often. I would also like to drop teams like temple and ball st and put in some southern teams like florida anm or houston. Teams that are at the same level of us and bowl worthy will give more credit.

What would you think about Georgia and Navy hooking up for some football? I've been a Navy fan since I spent a week there at a wrestling camp way back when I was in better shape. Geez I miss those high school days. Anyway I think it would be an interesting matchup.

By the way...GO NAVY, BEAT ARMY!!

The wins over FCS teams do count toward bowl eligibility.  Townson is a local team that will generate some local interest.  Every team in the country does this at the beginning of the season.

So losing to Ball State makes them not worthy. WOW.... what does that make your team .How soon your selective memory kicks in.

Maybe you can prove your worthiness on sept 6 in front of a National audience in Muncie IN.

As far as the rest of your schedule goes, you will not face a better offense than the one you will see on Friday night .

o and 2 vs BSU !!!!!!!!
