I think you need to adjust your poll hater.  I'm going with 8-4.

Optimism shines in with 10-2. Charlie would look too sweaty on the Dolphin sideline.

I'm going to be extremely optimistic and come in with a record of 7-5.  And this year, I only see them getting blown out of the water 3 times instead of the 7 or so times this past season.

I think you need to adjust your poll hater.  I'm going with 8-4.

If this was only meant to "hate"... I'd have started at 0-12 and ended at 3-9.  I included all records that are in the realm of possibility.  This way, if you pick a record from the poll, you have a chance of being right.  Had I included records like 9-3 on the list... 98&% of ND fans would have ended next year knowing that they were way off (again).

For the record, I threw an extremely optimistic 6-6 vote out there.  That's twice as many wins as this past season.  Respectable AND realistic.  I just looked the schedule over again... believe me, 5 losses is a minimum.

Michigan, Michigan State, and USC will all be blowout losses.  There is a realistic possibility that they lose to all 4 of the following as well:

@Washington

@N. Carolina

Purdue

Pittsburgh

If they go 2-2 agains the above 4 teams, I'll be amazed.  Either way, 2 more losses in that group would give them 5 total.

IF Mich and Mich St win next year they will NOT be in a blowout.  I really don't think Michigan will get past us either.  Their team is gonna have to do too much regrouping, new coaches, new QB, new system.  Its just not gonna be good for them.  Keep hating though.  Washington?  Unlikely, same for N. Carolina and Pitt.  Purdue is a possibility to beat us, I will give you that.  USC, if they play like normal will probably run all over us.  I'm not even gonna be optimistic and say we have a chance until I see how our offense is the first few games.  I will say we probably lose to 1 of the 4 you listed.  And drop 3 more games in the season.  You are basing your opinion solely on the record that ND had this year.  Which isn't fair to the team.  You are looking at the improvement the team was making at the end of the year and the fact they have 9 more months to prepare and the fact that we have some top guys coming in.
