Touche' - but that is why I brought in the stats with the link that showed WVU looking up at Oregon.  Cincy at home - USF on nuetral field - just a bit of a difference.  Apples Oranges maybe.  I think WVU/Oregon game would be a blast. 

Fair enough. I did dumb down the comparison a little, but the USF-Oregon game shouldn't be used in the equation at all.

Having said that, Oregon may have been the best team in the country with Dixon. There'd have been no shame in WVU losing that game.

For the record, I don't think Cincy is better then Oregon.

Observation 101, you make a compeling argument, but I'm still going to have to disagree.  I noticed in the link you included as evidence that Oregon was better, Oklahoma is listed way above Oregon.  I bet if you ask Oklahoma (yes, the team that WVU beat down in compeling fashion in the Fiesta Bowl) whether Oregon or WVU is better you would get a hands down response that it's WVU.

In looking over the last decade, WVU wasn't always too strong.  But if you weighted those statistics to the last 3-4 years (which you should do if you are trying to figure out who the better team is right now because anyone on a team 7 years ago is certaintly not in the picture now), WVU would be higher than they are.

Rumor is with the amendment 1 stuff in fla they are dropping football at usf.
