Notre Dame didn't offer a home-and-home because they don't have to. Whether you like the team or not, everyone respects Notre Dame and the legacy they have built over their many years of football. For a young team like USF it is almost an honor just to play the Irish. FSU however, not so much. Yes your team has awesome tradition and a great history. They were a powerhouse for years. I just don't understand how you could say that USF doesn't compare with other FL teams except UCF and here is why: The Bulls demolished the Knights 64-12 this past season, and we definitively beat them 3 out of 3 times. I think that in itself puts our team a tier higher than UCF, and I don't think even you could argue against that. The Gators demolished FSU 45-12 this past season, and the 3 seasons before that as well. I think that currently puts UF a tier above your Seminoles. I actually like the Seminoles, and I usually root for them to pull it out. But you have to admit this: lately the Noles haven't been a spectacular team.
Now in response to your comment:
1. I am not a "cry-baby Bulls fan talking smack". I am an educated Bulls fan who talks facts, not opinions and guesses and ignorant comments.
2. You would think FSU players are better than USF players without looking it up....why don't you try looking it up and spitting out facts instead of guesses. If you did look it up here's what you would find for the 07 season: Passing Completions: Bulls: 58.7%, Seminoles: 54.9%. Rushing Yards: Bulls: 565 rush for 2405 yds (avg of 4.2 yds per carry), Seminoles: 447 rush for 1659 yds (avg of 3.7 yds per carry). Points Scored: Bulls: 451, avg 34.7 per game, Seminoles: 303, avg 23.3 per game. This shows we CAN compete with FSU.
3. Schedule toughness is debatable from person to person and I don't want to get into that arguement with you, but I will say that CBSSportsline has Bulls SOS at 13, the Noles are down at 47.
