	Is anyone there? I have never seen any action on this board. There is so much to talk about with USA getting football finally and basketball season upon us, and oh yea football season is nearly over for our other favorite teams. I know when the jags do start playing football I will support them but I will also root for my fave team as i'm sure ya'll will to. This is huge for Mobile and alot of the up and coming kids in the area that will be overlooked by the bigger schools, there has been alot of wasted talent in the area that no-one will ever know about. I can't wait till i'm back down there full time and get to enjoy the area i've missed for the last 17 years. RTR and Go Jags

	Thanks for posting TideFan! I'm guessing you're probably a USA alumni/Mobile native? Not just a football team but a marching band as well. This is the talk of the town around Mobile right now and at USA. I'm currently enrolled at South and can tell you that everyone down here is pumped about the decision for a football team. It's gonna take a lot of time and money to get it off the ground and there are also several risks involved also, especially money that the administration is concern with the most. But I think that there is a lot of talent that comes from this area of the state and a lot of guys that would like scholarships to play ball. The school tells us they're gonna be hiring a coach in the next few months and the City of Mobile is allowing us to play at Ladd-Peebles Stadium free of charge for 5 years. They hope to have it all in place to play football in the fall of 2009.

	Semmes native in the Air Force, I have 3 yrs left for retirement and I can't wait so I can get back down there around real people. This is huge news for the area and I can't wait for it to take place. Good luck against those other tigers 434, one of my co-workers is from there so i'm sure i'll watch the game with him. 	Geez... you have to be a "rookie" to create a new subject, what a load! Anyway, congrats on the new football team. I personally give it 5 years before it will truly be sucessful. In the meanwhile, how bout those jag roundballers. Man there talented this year! I seriously see them winning the sunbelt and possibly getting an... I don't know... 11 or 12 seed in the big dance. I hope the fans come out for Western Kentucky, there impressive too. GO JAGS

	I just thought I would let you know that there are South Alabama fans out here. I am very excited about this basketball team and I am excited about the potential for a new football team. I am a South Alumni and I am proud. I have been an Auburn football fan my whole life, but now that football is coming...Go Jags will be my motto.

	As a resident of Mobile Alabama, I just have to say how proud I am of the Jags. They are on a tear right now, and I just hope that it continues. South has the best team in the state right now! GO JAGS from a die hard Bama fan!

	This team is for real. Look for them to get an at large bid come March. They won't even have to do well in the sunbelt tournament. #10 seed

	Oooh Boy... Now we're 20-5. Amazingly were still projected to go to the tournament. I don't think it's too accurate. How do you see South's chances of getting an At-Large Bid? I think it's very slim IF we win out with a huge victory over Western Kentucky. I have faith however.

	I was just reading this board to see what the talk was about Thursday night and just found out that USA is starting a football team. Congratulations, I think this will be great for the school and great for the town. I hope all works out well. It sounds USA fans are in the same boat as WKU fans in that we are all hoping for an at large bid. I think this is the year we get two sun belt teams in. I wish USA very good luck (after Thursday night ) so that we will have the two teams in. I hope the sunbelt finally gets some recognition for all of the talent that it has. GO TOPS!!!

	I personally cannot wait for USA to start football. I bought season tickets the last time they tried to start a team and I will be at the front of the line to buy them this time. It's way past time for Mobile to get it's own College team to pull for! I'm also excited over the Jags current run in Basketball! an NCAA bid is lookling likely this year. Go Jags!!!
