I love UCLA because they are winners (100 national championships), have the best colors in all of major collegiate sports, is located in the best part of LA, and will beat USC on Saturday, just like last year.
lmao! fucla has the WORST uniforms in the pac 10 and possibly the nation. i'll give that honor to syracuse but ucla is very close.

I hate the Trojans because everytime I go to they're campus I am mistaken for a BLOOD and shot at by CRIPS. I love the Bruins because Westwood is not South Central.
roflmao! now that was hilarious. i'm still laughing...
I hate USC because they also claim to share a National Championship with Auburn. Guess what USC? you didn't play in the National Championship that year, therfore you can't claim it.
are you referring to 2003 when LSU won the BCS championship and SC won the AP championship? i hope so because i dont recall usc ever sharing a NC with auburn

Ok i though I'd come back to see what developed....
errrrr If both Bowls at the time ranked USC number one, how is it that the BCS had two other teams? Answer the BCS system had to be tweaked... and why is it that SOME people can disclaim that that YEAR it was a SHARED NATIONASL TITLE LSU and USC??
Everyone with "a lick of sense" recognizes that year as a SPLIT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and LSU should have played USC for the mythical National title-
We all were lucky that 1-2 met in 2006 Texas and USC- undefeated and the best two teams - it is just that without at least a PLUS ONE after the bowls too many teams will be left out.
That is why i LOVE USC- people talk about the school/athletic program-some not making much sense.
Where are the Bruin fans?? O yes the one playing the steinway drinking champagne after the BIG USC DEFEAT... Everyone you just have to laugh!!!
I'll be at Hyatt HB after the game watching the waves roll in!!
Fight On

I love UCLA because of the deep heritage UCLA has in its athletic coaches. Yes, there are 100 national championships to be held in high esteem, but look at who led these teams to such great heights. Here are a few...
Al Scates has been coaching the UCLA Men's Volleyball team since 1963, 44 years ago for those that are mathematically challenged. He led his teams to 2 USVBA national championships before there was an NCAA national championship available. Since its inception in 1970, Mr. Scates has led teams to 19 of those and he's still going strong.
Andy Banakowski is in his 41st year at UCLA and has led the Women's Volleyball team to 6 of those national championships. 41 years. Incredible. He has also coached his teams to more college volleyball victories that any other coach, save one. Al Scates.
John Wooden coached the Bruin Men's Basketball team for 27 years. Everyone knows about the Wizard of Westwood and how highly revered he is country wide. He coached his teams 655 college basketball victories and 10 national championships, 7 in a row! And UCLA added another in 95, making it 11 national championships. Those 11 national championships are unrivaled, the next closed being Kentucky with 7. And with the way things are looking this year... we shall see.
Honorable mention in terms of longevity go out to Terry Donahue who coached the Bruin Football team for 20 years. He is the winningest Pac 10 coach with 95 victories, was the first collegiate coach to win bowl games in 7 consecutive seasons, had 3 Rose Bowl victories, and yes... had a winning record in those 20 years against Southern Cal at 10-9-1. While I'm not a fan of the 1st and 10 draw play each series of every game, Donahue had a tremendous amount of success in 20 years at UCLA.
Well, there you go. I wanted to point out why I love UCLA and these are a few people that have created the heritage I love in my alma mater.
As for hating USC, well, that's a strong word. Any day but Saturday, I'd say it doesn't really apply.

UCLA football reminds me of a well known TV show. Yeah, the TV show called "The Biggest Losers". Meanwhile, USC will thrash UCLA this Saturday afternoon in the L.A. Coliseum. By half time most people who are watching this thrashing on TV will be out the door shopping with their spouses because it is going to get ugly and USC's defense is going to demolish the impotent Bruin offense (rated 9th in the Pac 10 in scoring). UCLA may go to a bowl game this year. But it is going to be more like the Silicon Valley bowl. One of those bowl games you don't watch unless you are a fan of one of the teams playing in the game. The good news for UCLA football fans is that once this season is over Karl Dorrell will be terminated as the head coach. So there is a silver lining after all.

If UCLA football is an underachieving program, it must feel absolutley awful to lose to them and blow your national title hopes. Better luck this year, oh, wait, you already blew it.

I love the Bruins for all of the obvious reasons. USC obviosly love the rose bowl more than the colliseum because they are trying to talk UCLA into letting the Trojans have HOME GAMES there. Luckily, the distinguished executives on the rose bowl commite will never let that happen. Thank god for that, we dont need a bunch of thugs coming to the nice side of town, except for one game every other year.

If Powder Blue is the best colors in all of major sports, then why do all the Bruin fans where dark blue outfits to the games?
I go every year and see like one out of ten fans actually wearing powder blue. Every other shade of blue ... sure. Power Blue, no.
I can't name a single other school whose students, alumns and fans are so lacking in pride that they wear different shades of their school colors to games.

I hate UCLA because the school is to the rest of the nation a Los Angeles school, yet it epitomizes the worst of Los Angeles. Bruins are fake, pure and simple:
- They stole the Cal Bear and renamed it a "Bruin."
- They stole the Cal colors and only bothered to change the shade of blue. Yet their fans who profess to love powder blue wear dark blue "Bruin" gear to the games - I know, I go to the games every year - they do not wear powder blue. In West LA, school pride gives way to fashion. And what I see is that Bruin fans do not find powder blue fashionable.
- They stole the Cal fight song and didn't bother to change a single note. Now that's bad.
- The Rose Bowl is their home field, but they cannot win a Bowl game there.
There are plenty of other reasons. Having attended both schools (undergraduate and graduate), I can tell you UCLA spends a lot more energy on being overly "PC," yet they freely take jabs at the local USC community as the "hood,' full of Bloods and Crips, where everyone gets government checks. How ashamed they might feel if they knew anything about the people in the local community. At the same time, they attend class in the heart of privilege, glitz, twisted values, plasitc surgery, and materialism, while mislabeling USC students spoiled.
And, finally ... year in and year out ... UCLA embarrases the PAC 10 in the college football world, thus hurting USC's BCS rankings.
I could go on ... there are uicy details those of us who attended both schools could tell ... but you get the picture.

I dig UCLA because of the tradition....it's glam, showtime, and Hollywood baby! Much respect for the outstanding athletic tradition, amazing list of alumni, and a creme de la creme academic program...one of the best in the country. Amazing athletes, coolest uni's in college sports, bar none.
The environment, history, and athletic programs of SC just can't compete. South Carolina is no match for LA and Beverly Hills. Plus, USC are the 'Cocks, and that is just embarrasing.

I love USC because they continually slap UCLA around the football field. the 13-9 victory of 2006 was a fluke, and its in the past now as USC put another PAC-10 title in the record books with their 24-7 victory over the pathetic Bruins today. Make sure you Bruins do your 8 clap as you watch all the bowl games this year with your team left out to watch as well. i will enjoy My Trojans playing in your house on Jan. 1st.
I hate UCLA because although they suck and get beat by mediocre teams, they continually talk trash on the USC football program who is clearly better. And why do you hate our Coach, who has always been a class act? you Bruins are pathetic.
Fight On Trojans!
