With that win over the Bills, the Browns playoffs chances are still very alive.  That win puts them a game behind the Bills, with the tie breaker in hand.  Here is how I see it breaking down.

The Bills can't beat anyone decent, so they will probably beat KC and San Fran and then lose out and finish 7-9 or at best 8-8.

Both Miami and New England have relatively easy schedules left and both look like they could easily finish 10-6.  This is where luck will have to come into play and either hope that New England is as old as advertised and falls apart or Miami reverts to the team that they were last year.

Baltimore has a fairly tough schedule left with the only shoe in win in Cincinnati (then again with the way the Bengals have dominated them in the Marvin Lewis era, it isn't a complete shoe in).  I think they will finish 8-8 or 9-7.

The Colts have two easy wins left, but with their weak run defense, look for San Diego, Cleveland, Jacksonville and Tennesee to run all over them.  They finish 8-8 or 9-7.

And here is where it gets interesting.  Pittsburgh will pick up there 8th win this Thursday against Cincinnati.  But after that they play a tough schedule.  I think there is a good chance that they win 3 of the remaining 5 and are resting the final week of the season against Cleveland or they lost 4 of those 5 and are fighting for the division with Cleveland.

Not matter how it pans out the Browns will have to take care of their own business, which I think is very possible.  Tennessee is the only team lef ton the schedule that makes you say wow.  Then again, the Giants looked like that team a fews weeks ago.

Seriously Cinci,

I think that the Cleveland fans have accepted what their team is this season. You trying to drum up hope is just plain cruel. The Browns are 4-6 and will be starting a young QB on the road @Tenn, @Phili, and @Pitt. They also play a much improved Indi team that is getting healthy at the right time. If they can finish out 3-3 that will be an accomplishment. This is not the year for the Browns, what you are suggesting would be nothing short of a miracle. If the Steelers win against the Bengals on Thursday that will make it impossible for the Browns to get the tiebreaker over the Steelers or the Ravens. That means they would have to finish with a better record, not going to happen.

they are not dead (yet), but to say they are very alive is laughable. but then again everything else to come out of cincinnati is laughable, why would anything less be expected from a guy named cincy007?

Yes, the Browns are mathematically alive, but we all know they're done.  The Colts struggle against the run, but when Bob Sanders is healthy they're a completely different defense.  The Browns are currently behind 5 teams for the Wild Card, just not gonna happen.

All I am saying is that this team is better than the record indicates.  They are very capable of beating any team any day (ask the Giants).

And don't use Brady Quinn as an excuse, that dude gets it and will improve week in and week out.

Hdawg -

I know they are behind 5 teams, but most of those teams are shaky.  If the Browns take care of business on their end the next couple weeks, I think everyone will be singing a different tune.

Right now I'm just thinking about the Texans. I hope our Defense tightens up and doesn't let Steve Slaton run for another 160 yards. They need to work on form tackling this week more than anything. Those sissy sh#t arm tackles they were trying last night were abysmal.
