North Little Rock has been an outstanding host

The sub-regional here could not have gone smoother. The games were good, the people running the press conferences and handling the media were extremely professional and the fans weren't too obnoxious or foul mouthed. What more could you ask for?

Seriously, the city handled the crowds well and it was extremely convenient getting around. The downtown area was surprisingly hopping and the North Little Rockians (is that a word? Little Rockans? Little Rockers?) were all extremely nice.

What impressed me the most was the city's poise in light of the devastating floods that have rocked a large portion of this state. You know some people here had to have family or friends affected by the frighteningly high waters that have broken levees and destroyed homes.

In fact, of all the regionals I have covered, this one was probably the best.

I picked San Diego...kneel before Zod.

I was ripped by a no talent blogger.

Mocked by my colleagues.

Laughed at by Prisco.

Destroyed by some idiots on the message boards.

Kicked in the butt by Doyel.

But in the end my San Diego team of destiny proved me right.

I picked San Diego to beat UConn and you didn't. Na na, na na, naaa...

Now, kneel before Zod.
