According to Ed Price of the Newark Star-Ledger, the Yankees have been scouting outfielder Randy Winn. Winn, 34, is hitting .277/.345/.390 in 401 plate appearances. He's set to earn $8.25MM next year, and can block deals to ten clubs. You have to think the Yankees are treating this like another salary dump possibility.

Yankees Scouting Randy WinnWhat??? Wynn is a overpaid platoon player!! He is not worth the back ended deal of $8.25 million. This is a typical salary dump. The Giants are terrible and they are stuck with Wynn......oh I forgot Tom Hicks is still the owner of the Texas Rangers!! |
