Let's start with this blogger, ravefan66, who thought it appropriate to give my innocuous thread a one star and I sure as hell hope you all scrutinize ravefan66's threads and help me pay back in kind!

Ratings EtiquetteWith the new ratings system, all ratings help your rep. Even a one-star rating is helpful to your reputation. The worst thing another user can do is not rate your post at all. |

Ratings EtiquetteShuless Joe is technically correct. The five star scoring systems implemented 2/1/08 made any rating beneficial. Obviously one star much less so than five stars. However, in practice, if someone wants to send you a signal they didn't like your post, they could rate you one star to get your attention. Even though not rating is less beneficial, it doesn't send a message either, does it? |

Ratings EtiquetteGood question, er statement, er comment. It seems that some people like to give bad rating when they disagree with you. I like to give high ratings when someone posts something clever even though he may like a team that I don't. When someone responds to a post of mine I usually give them a high rating just because its nice to see some action going on. Usually when someone gives me a low rating on a post i check out the ratings they have been receiving and sure enough they've got a passle of 1 stars. Usually a low rating given to a decent post is from a rookie or someone who just doesn't put 2 and 2 together. |

Ratings EtiquetteI know exactly what you are talking about! There should be a way to expose these malicious frauds like StopNPop who just go around a give mostly one star ratings, but, don't leave any comments or start any threads themselves. These are the CBS sports community's cheap shot artists. Maybe there are more of us out here in this community who |
