Howdy folks. I have been on this board for almost a year and I have developed quite a few friendships in my time here... as well as plenty of haters.....oh well. One of the funniest things I have seen here on the CBS board are the conference homers. It seems to me that almost all of these types of delusional goobers think that hanging on the nads of a conference instead of cheering for their own team makes them the cat's hiney or something special. I imagine the truth of the matter is that most of them figure their own team sucks, so why not join a collective group and claim supremecy while clinging to the sack of other teams and their successes...but still using association by conference as a tie to bind the whole pile of B.S. together.
To further analyze this fallacy, it seems that many of them have found a specific niche to work from in order to spread their wealth of "knowledge" and to prove their assumed supremecy by dazzling us with skewed stats and piling on with major spin. Who could challenge the great Cassells with his cfbdatawarehouse stack of crap stats or the numerous other goobers who go by names related to being SEC fans? There are also PAC 10 homers galore and delusional Big 10 fans en mass here, all spouting data that reaffirms their status as the best conference around. Folks, in my book, there is nothing more hilarious on this board here than seeing a conference homer battle it out with another Rain Man to prove their elite status is higher than the other goober's is.
With that said, I guess I should join in too and stack this pile of crap even higher than before. Therefore, I now claim affiliation with a new collective group of teams called "Teams from the South". To define my group's affiliations, I chose the 38th line of latitude as the separation point between my awesome group and the other piece of crap group... and of course we are only referring to BCS conference teams. Homers, if you aren't in my group, then you are just a big pretender and your group's teams are just sissies. We rule!!!
BTW, I realize that some of you whiners aren't going to just buy this line without some proof, so I have compiled some telling data (at my own expense, no less) that will prove to you naysayers once and for all that the South Group is supreme. Lets look at National Championships for example:
The Mighty South Group
Alabama - 11
Southern California - 10
Oklahoma - 7
Miami (FL) - 5
Georgia Tech - 4
Tennessee - 4
Texas - 4
California - 3
Louisiana St. - 3
Florida - 2
Florida St. - 2
Georgia - 2
Texas A&M - 2
Arkansas - 1
Auburn (AL) - 1
Clemson (SC) -1
Mississippi - 1
Stanford (CA) - 1
UCLA - 1
Total: 65
The Other Group of Losers
Notre Dame (IN) - 12
Michigan - 7
Minnesota - 6
Pittsburgh (PA) - 6
Nebraska - 5
Ohio St. - 5
Illinois - 4
Michigan St. - 3
Penn St. - 2
Syracuse (NY) - 1
Washington - 1
Maryland - 2
Colorado – 1
Total: 55
Solid proof folks! The South Group has 10 more NC’s than the other loser group and also proves its depth which is reflected in the fact that 19 teams from my South group have won NCs and only 13 teams from the Loser’s group have won NCs. Furthermore, this further exemplifies that competition in the South Group is much tougher than in the Other Loser’s group, so when you play in my group, you better come to play hard and not plan on just pounding on another Loser’s Group’s patsy. Plain and simple homers, we rule.
P.S. What are the odds that some goober will try to prove me wrong here?
