Upon logging on to the CBSSports.com site today, I realized that I may be able to make quite a bit of money on February 3rd. In case you missed it, on the home page of this fine website there is a poll which asks who you think will win the Super Bowl. So far, on Thursday, January 24th at 10:50 AM EST, 41% of the readers on this site favor the NY Giants to win. Not cover the 13 point spread, but to actually win this game outright! I am shocked and amazed at this number. There are 125904 respondants to this survey so that means that 51620 of you think the G-Men will beat the New England Patriots. The undefeated Patriots. The Tom Brady and Bill Belichick led Patriots. The same Patriots team who already beat the Giants on week 17 of the regular season. Now, If I were a gambling man, or a bookie, I'd be setting up shop here to make some quick cash. I do realize that the NY- New England game was a close final score, but the reality is that with 10 minutes left in that game the Pats took over and it was only a last minute Gints TD that made it 38-35. Do you all realize that if the Giants win that it would have to be considered the biggest upset in the entire history of the NFL? I am not a Patriots fan, and as an unbiased opinion I just cannot understand how so many can think that this will happen. Now, seeing as I'm not into gambling I'd like to make an amazing offer to the throngs a fools, er, fans out there in cyber space. I have some beautiful land down in Florida to sell you for a real good price. Just leave me your name and credit card number in a public reply on this blog and I'll get the deeds to you as ASAP. Honest ;)
