Les Miles is one tough SOB

What did Ryan Perrilloux do?

Let the speculation begin, but let the bidding start high. Perrilloux wasn't kicked off the LSU team after being investigated for his alleged role in a counterfeit ring. He wasn't kicked off after his alleged role in a nightclub brawl. He wasn't kicked off the team after using a fake ID or skipping classes or team meetings.

He wasn't even a junior yet, Ryan Perrilloux. That's quite a rap sheet for a college sophomore. But even after all that, he was going to be a junior this upcoming season for LSU coach Les Miles.

Until Friday, when Miles -- or someone above Miles -- finally kicked Perrilloux off the team for not fulfilling "his obligation as an LSU student-athlete."

So what does that mean? It means Perrilloux messed up really bad this time, so bad that even a shameless huckster like Les Miles had no choice but to part with his starting quarterback.

Doyel you are an idiot..................Miles gave the kid a chance to straighten up..........Most of the things he did nearly every college kid has tried something similar(except alleged counterfeit scam)...........Who ever heard of a college kid skipping class, involved in a fight at a bar, using a fake id...........no I've never heard of any college kid ever trying that...............

GET A LIFE

Miles did the right thing before and he's done the right thing now

Wow, what a statement.  Not sure where this has come from.  The guy says all along that he is staying at LSU and when he does people call him crazy.  He gives the student athlete several chances to straighten up and when he does kick off the one player who could make or break this season for LSU and you bash the guy.  I bet you it was a very small thing that Ryan did but it was the last straw.  I know you don't care but in my eyes you have lost all credibility.  If Les was like Bowden, or Tom Osborne, or other coaches he would have kept Ryan on the team.  Instead, he made a tough decision that will cost the team at least 3, if not more, victories.  I applaud Miles however because even if you don't think it, Les Miles is a man of his word.  I haven't seen or heard of anything that contradicts that.  It's disappointing to see a media guy give someone a hard time who just kicked off a former #1 recruit and starting QB.

Rumor is that RP's mom was getting money through a casino down there and the reason why he wasn't kicked off before was that she threatened to turn LSU in.  If true, then the boosters finally came up with such a big payoff that she won't talk now for fear of tax evasion.

And, to your point that "Who ever heard of a college kid skipping class, involved in a fight at a bar, using a fake id".  I have heard of football players doing that, but ALL three??, and add to that the conterfiet scam.  What kind of lessons are we teaching kids when we let them have 3 or 4 chances and then not do anything?  That's not how real life works, only in NCAA big time sports where winning is all that counts.

Does anyone know the source of the other rumor that it was a failed drug test?
