And the Warriors did just that. Kevin Durant re-signed a two-year deal on very friendly terms, giving Golden State more room to operate financially. That opened up the door for a record long-term deal for Steph Curry, and even left room to re-sign Andre Iguodala and Zaza Pachulia.
Even with all that, the Warriors were able to add another shooter on the wing in former Laker Nick Young.
Not surprisingly, Stephen Oh's SportsLine Projection Model is loving the Warriors for 2017-18, as this superteam has some of the highest projections we've ever seen.
Here's a look at how dominant the Warriors are projected to be after Oh simulated the season 10,000 times:
Projected wins: 65.6
Division champion chances: 100%
Playoff chances: 100%
Conference champion chances: 84.8%
NBA champion chances: 74.4%

There are still a few NBA offseason moves that need to play out around the league, but overall Golden State looks to be just as good, if not better, for the 2017-18 season.
