Cimini: East All-Stars undervalued amid Kobe Bryant hoopla

Hero Image

Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has been an All-Star in 18 of his 20 seasons.

With Bryant playing in his final NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night in Toronto, and with the West having won four of the past five showcases, the public has jumped on the West and swayed the pointspread.

The West boasts three representatives of the defending champion Warriors and more star power overall, with Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and James Harden to name a few.

It will be a challenge for the West to pay proper tribute to Bryant while finding enough looks for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and the other shooters.

I expect the East to have a more free-flowing rhythm.

This line opened at West -5 and has been bet up to -6 at many books. I'll take the points with the lower-profile side.

Cimini's pick: East +6
