--One of the surest things for the Cougars is senior WR Brandon Gibson, who led the Pac-10 last season with 1,180 yards. He had such a good spring coaches decided to hold him out of the final scrimmage -- they figured he didn't need the work and didn't want to take a chance on him getting injured.
--Another potential starting receiver, sophomore Jeshua Anderson, sat out the spring to concentrate on track. Anderson is a legit NCAA contender in the 110 and 400 hurdle events.
SPRING MOVERS
WR Michael Willis -- The junior, who didn't play last year because of academic issues, was the star of the final spring scrimmage with six catches for 129 yards and a touchdown, helping to create s spot in the rotation next season.
DT Matt Eichelbereger -- A senior who did not start any games last season, he looks entrenched at one tackle spot after a solid spring that included two sacks in one scrimmage.
QB Kevin Lopina -- A transfer from Kansas State who has yet to see action for the Cougars, the junior had a standout spring to emerge as the backup and keep the heat on starter Gary Rogers. His mobility makes him a good fit for the new no-huddle spread offense, and he ran for a touchdown in the final scrimmage while also completing 10 of 15 passes for 154 yards.
TE Devin Frischknect -- The senior, who capped last season by catching two TD passes in the Apple Cup, picked up where he left off with a solid spring to earn the starting tight end job out of spring.
QUOTE TO NOTE "I think our best football is ahead of us yet, but we have a long ways to go." -- WSU coach Paul Wulff on the end of his first spring with W.

How will the Cougars new offense fare? Has anyone had a chance to see this no huddle offense run either at Eastern Washington or bend down to see any of the scrimmage. I for 1 am excited to see a change in the whole offense of philosophy. I am looking forward to a bumpy road but also the possibility of an exciting one.

Where are all the Cougs....Is this board dead...Lets get behind our team in hoops....Great win for the cougs last night....could have been a disasterous road trip for the cougs...Looks like we have problems against teams with a quick point guard that can penetrate....Can't really keep them out of the lane...which opens up the three like in the Arizona game where we got killed by the 3's and at the

I'm a huge Beaver fan, but I've got to give it to you guys. Not a winning record, but 5 wins, not bad. I wish you guys wouldn't have missed out on a bowl game. Even despite your record, you could still win a bowl game. Winning 4 of the last 5 games is a good, strong finish. Also a win at the Apple Cup in a wild finish, I call that a successful season. Did Doba get fired or is he sti
