--The depth chart still lists quarterback as a competition between sophomore Colin Kaepernick and junior Nick Graziano. Graziano won the job last year before injuring his foot. Kaepernick replaced him and shined, earning the league's Freshman of the Year honors. In the spring game, he showed why -- racing for two long running touchdowns. Coaches insist it will be a competition in the fall, when Graziano, who tore a tendon in his foot, is finally able to compete.

--The offensive line will have its massive side and its experienced side -- not a bad combination for the Wolf Pack. Sophomores Mike Gallett (6-6, 295) and John Bender (6-8, 325) will line up on one side of veteran C Dominic Green. On his other side are senior Greg Hall and junior Alonzo Durham, veterans who each started all 13 games last season for the powerful Wolf Pack offense.

SPRING MOVERS

TE Junior Puloka -- The junior will get the first chance at replacing Adam Bishop, who was a real threat in the red zone for Nevada.

LB James-Michael Johnson -- The redshirt freshman delivered in scrimmages and now sits second on the depth chart at the strongside linebacker spot.

OT Alonzo Durham -- The junior has developed into one of the better tackles in the WAC. Durham, who started all 13 games last season, could be in line for a dominant season.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"In college football, the talent level is so even across the board that if you don't have leadership and chemistry within your unit and within your team, there's a fine line between winning a lot of games and losing a lot of games. You can see that the more you're around college athletics in any sport. Chemistry is the key." -- Associate head coach and linebackers coach Ken Wilson told the Reno Gazette-Journal of the defense's search for leaders.

(POLL) I'm running this poll to find out how many games the Wolf Pack will win this year. My wife, Amanda, is curious about why I am so facinated with sports and especially the Wolf Pack, so come on, Wolf Pack Nation, give her a reason to believe.

Nevada for some reason can only find thugs for players.  They have had multiple problems with girlfriend beaters, robberies etc.  Now I read in the article in the RGJ that 2 players helped drag Hanson into the kitchen during the beating they gave him on that fatefull night.  Without the existence of certain football players in our school we would have 3 more people living in th ...(more)

Wow, what a showing.  Do you want to talk MWC vs the WAC now?  Probably not, since the MWC is 3-0 and the WAC is 0-2 in bowl games.  You guys got whooped by New Mexico!  Ouch!  And yes, they are from the MWC.  Welcome to our conference.  Did you say some quarterback is going to be a Heisman?  I think you were thinking of BYU's Max Hall, right b/c I know you ...(more)

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
