STARS OF 2008:

QB Colin Kaepernick -- The WAC Freshman of the Year, Kaepernick passed for 2,175 yards and 19 touchdowns against just three interceptions in less than nine full games after taking over for injured Nick Graziano. He also scored six rushing touchdowns. He showed greater consistency this spring.

RB Luke Lippincott -- A consistent performer, Lippincott rushed for at least 100 yards in eight games last season, en route to 1,420 yards and 15 total touchdowns. He earned all-WAC first-team honors as a junior. Now a senior, Lippincott is sure to be a featured part of the Wolf Pack attack.

C Dominick Green -- Despite injuries, Greene earned first-team All-WAC honors. The Wolf Pack allowed just 26 sacks last season and led the conference in rushing thanks to solid offensive line play. Green has started at all five spots on the line during his career.

DE Kevin Basped -- The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder could emerge as a star as a sophomore this season. Basped started five of the final six games last season and finished with 50 tackles, including 11.5 for loss and four sacks.

TOP NEWCOMERS

TE Zack Sudfeld -- The Wolf Pack must replace TE Adam Bishop, one of their most versatile and consistent players last season. Sudfeld, a 6-foot-7 and 230-pound freshman, could be part of the solution.

DB Antoine Thompson -- A 6-foot-1, 195-pound junior-college transfer, Thompson is expected to make an immediate impact. He is one of eight newcomers that play in the secondary, a source of great need for the Wolf Pack.

CB Thaddeus Brown -- The Wolf Pack beat out conference rival Boise State for the Pasadena, Calif., product. Expect him to get on the field somewhere this year.

ROSTER REPORT

--LB Kevin Porter, who would have been a senior, will not play again because of a neck injury. Porter started 10 games at middle linebacker last season and had 54 tackles.

--QB Nick Graziano, the starter until tearing a tendon in his right foot on Oct. 6, did not participate in much during spring. Graziano still has screws in his right foot. But he did throw and showcase his strong arm.

(POLL) I'm running this poll to find out how many games the Wolf Pack will win this year. My wife, Amanda, is curious about why I am so facinated with sports and especially the Wolf Pack, so come on, Wolf Pack Nation, give her a reason to believe.

Nevada for some reason can only find thugs for players.  They have had multiple problems with girlfriend beaters, robberies etc.  Now I read in the article in the RGJ that 2 players helped drag Hanson into the kitchen during the beating they gave him on that fatefull night.  Without the existence of certain football players in our school we would have 3 more people living in th ...(more)

For those bored during the off season check out this new MMOD game. Gets me through the sports dead zone (no NCAA hoops, no Football).

Wow, what a showing.  Do you want to talk MWC vs the WAC now?  Probably not, since the MWC is 3-0 and the WAC is 0-2 in bowl games.  You guys got whooped by New Mexico!  Ouch!  And yes, they are from the MWC.  Welcome to our conference.  Did you say some quarterback is going to be a Heisman?  I think you were thinking of BYU's Max Hall, right b/c I know you ...(more)

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
