Get ready for a fall filled with stories and speculation about the quarterback situation at Nevada. Not only does it make for great copy but the battle between Colin Kaepernick and Nick Graziano is about the only thing left unsettled for the Wolf Pack after spring ball.

The Wolf Pack's depth chart is settled at many spots. The team returned eight offensive starters, including four along the offensive line, making things a bit easier.

But the defense shook out in spring ball. Six sophomores are slated to start on defense, an infusion of youth for a side of the ball that struggled at times last season. Defensive end Kevin Basped, who had 11.5 tackles for loss last season, could emerge as a star.

Nevada barely qualified for a bowl game last year, needing to defeat Louisiana Tech in the regular-season finale -- and needing Hawaii to earn a BCS spot -- just to qualify for the New Mexico Bowl, where it was soundly beaten by New Mexico. It was a school-record third consecutive bowl invite.

The Wolf Pack, which narrowly lost to Boise State, Hawaii and Fresno State, are looking for bigger things than simply a bowl invitation. With such an explosive offense -- they had 23 scoring plays of 25 or more yards, second in the nation -- they want to be mentioned as one of the top teams in the top-heavy WAC.

(POLL) I'm running this poll to find out how many games the Wolf Pack will win this year. My wife, Amanda, is curious about why I am so facinated with sports and especially the Wolf Pack, so come on, Wolf Pack Nation, give her a reason to believe.

Nevada for some reason can only find thugs for players.  They have had multiple problems with girlfriend beaters, robberies etc.  Now I read in the article in the RGJ that 2 players helped drag Hanson into the kitchen during the beating they gave him on that fatefull night.  Without the existence of certain football players in our school we would have 3 more people living in th ...(more)

Wow, what a showing.  Do you want to talk MWC vs the WAC now?  Probably not, since the MWC is 3-0 and the WAC is 0-2 in bowl games.  You guys got whooped by New Mexico!  Ouch!  And yes, they are from the MWC.  Welcome to our conference.  Did you say some quarterback is going to be a Heisman?  I think you were thinking of BYU's Max Hall, right b/c I know you ...(more)

I just set up a new college baseball forum a couple of days ago and I'm trying to get the word spread out. Should be fun once the season gets going.
