--The Blue Raiders lost two all-conference defensive ends in Tavares Jones and Erik Walden, who combined for 107 tackles, including 18 for losses and nine sacks. DT Wes Hofacker has moved to one end, while Chris McCoy and junior college transfer Jamari Lattimore practiced at the other spot in the spring.

--The Blue Raiders had a two-headed monster at quarterback last season as Dwight Dasher started some as a freshman, while Joe Craddock started some as a junior. It could be the same this season. Last year, Dasher threw for 1,148 yards and nine touchdowns and also led the team in rushing with 530 yards, while Craddock threw for 1,259 yards and 12 touchdowns.

SPRING MOVERS

--WR Andrew Banks -- The freshman walk-on is small (5-9, 148), but the former quarterback proved in the spring he can make big plays at receiver. His speed will get him on the field in 2008.

--DE Jamari Lattimore -- The junior college transfer was signed as a linebacker, but was very impressive as a pass rusher at defensive end in the spring.

--DB Jeremy Kellem -- The sophomore was a part-time starter as a true freshman, but he will be a full-time starter at safety in 2008.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We only have 10 seniors so we are a very young football team and this spring was very important to us. We will just keep developing and working hard over the summer to get ready for 2008." -- Middle Tennessee coach Rick Stockstill at the conclusion of spring practice.
