SPRING OBJECTIVES
Auburn is looking for answers at receiver and the secondary but no position is more important this spring than quarterback, where sophomore Kodi Burns and junior college transfer Chris Todd have emerged as the leading candidates for the starting job in the Tigers' new spread offense.

BUILDING BLOCKS
The Tigers return all five starters on the offensive line, their three best backs and key defensive players such as DL Sen'Derrick Marks, Antonio Coleman, LB Tray Blackmon and DB Aairon Savage.

SCHEDULE SITUATION
The Tigers got off to a bad start last season with a 1-2 record. This year, they better beat Louisiana-Monroe and Southern Miss in their first two games because the schedule picks up over the next three weeks with a road game at Mississippi State and home games against LSU and Tennessee. Add an Oct. 23 nonconference road game to road games at Arkansas and Alabama and a home game against Georgia and Auburn's schedule will be as tough as any in the SEC.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"This offense still amazes me how many (repetitions) you can get in practice. And it really keeps everybody -- coaches, players, managers -- everybody on their toes. I think sometimes you need that in practice because you can get a little lackadaisical. With this tempo, nobody can drop their guard. You've got to be ready to go and concentrate." -- Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville, on the spread offense.

On College Gameday, he was asked how he thinks the SEC West will be played out next year. I don't exactly remember the quote, and it's from yesterday, but I still know the basic gist of it.

He said that it will come down to LSU and Alabama to win the West, and that Auburn "will go after someone with their new spread offense." And that was pretty much all he said.

I of course thought th ...(more)

Ryan Perrilloux has been kicked off the team for LSU.  What are you're guys thoughts on this?  I think it gives us a better chance at beating them this year.  I dont know who the backup is though.

Highly regarded athlete Brandon Heavens of Bessemer Academy said he plans to sign with Auburn.

"It feels great," Heavens told Auburnsports.com. "I'm really excited. I really like it down there at Auburn. It feels like home."

(Amen, brother, Amen)

Last season, he caught 41 passes for 1,236 yards and 11 TD's. He ran for 730 yards and 7 TD's ...(more)

I sure hope that McFadden and Dorsey go high in the 1st round.  I'm sick of seeing clips of them running and tackling against Auburn!  Come on ESPN, find some new video clips!

The Bengals have a long history of taking Auburn players and they have panned out for them. Again this year the Bengals took another Auburn product in DT Pat Sims. I know he missed a year due to a death in the family and they say he as a lot of upside. What do you guys think of Pat Sims? Can be a a solid starter for the Bengals depleated defensive line? If so.. Will he need a year or two in your o ...(more)

This site rocks.  You get a free starting balance to bet on any games.  If you work it up to $10 or more, you can cash it out and get a check in the mail.  There are no catches and NO DEPOSITING is even allowed on the site.  If you lose your first bet, you don't even go to zero balance.  They give you your starting kitty over and over again.  This is a lot of f ...(more)
