--LB Frank Scappaticci is adjusting to the move from outside to middle linebacker. "I think it went well, and I picked it up pretty fast," he said.

--The interesting thing to watch in the fall will be the Army quarterback situation. With the team switching to the "wishbone," former running back Carlo Sandiego enters a QB picture that includes incumbent Carson Williams, Chip Bowden and incoming freshman Paul McIntosh, Indiana's Mr. Football last year.

--Taking advantage of a new rule that allows Army players to play professionally and fulfill their military requirement as recruiters, S Caleb Campbell was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round, while FB Mike Viti signed a two-year free-agent deal with the Buffalo Bills.

SPRING MOVERS

QB Carson Williams -- We have to remember what an important recruit he was when he came in two years ago. He's had his problems at West Point, but the talent is there and he might just come on in the new offensive system. "Carson is doing things well," says coach Stan Brock.

LB John Plumstead -- He won the defense's "Sledgehammer Award" for a strong spring.

WR Mike Wright -- You have to like any Army player who predicts the 2008 Black Knights will win the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"They continued to impress me with their toughness and desire to win, all the things you would expect out of them. I don't think they shocked me with any thing. They continued to impress me with their ability to work hard." -- Army coach Stan Brock after the spring game.
