The players new Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino named as the Razorbacks' most improved in the spring might be surprising to most Arkansas observers.

Quarterback Casey Dick, tight end D.J. Williams and receivers London Crawford and Carlton Salters entered the spring as suspects and somehow became prospects along the way. The same was true on defense for defensive ends Antwain Robinson, Jake Bequette, Damario Ambrose and Adrian Davis.

The Razorbacks started over with Petrino and a new coaching staff in the spring and the result was a fresh start for many players who often struggled under the old coaching staff.

On the day in which former Arkansas tailbacks Darren McFadden and Felix Jones were both selected in the first round of the NFL draft, the Razorbacks concluded their spring by passing the ball prolifically and productively, something that rarely happened under former coach Houston Nutt.

That was the offense Arkansas fans had hoped to see when a school-record 40,220 showed up to see the Razorbacks' first spring under Petrino. It was an impressive show but it was just a spring game and Petrino knows the Razorbacks have a lot of work to do to build the kind of balanced offense he employed so successfully at Louisville.

"We've made some big strides," Petrino said. "We certainly have a long way to go. We've got a lot of new faces in there. I feel good about our front on both sides, offense and defense."

Is the NCAA correct in not allowing Ryan to play this year?

I am excited about the upcoming football season! Everywhere I look online all of the early predictions for the Hogs are either fifth or sixth in the West. I am glad no one thinks we are going to be any good! Coach Petrino has got a great staff and I feel that he will not get outcoached in any games this year. Yes, I know we have lost some serious talent this year, I watched the NFL Draft. how c ...(more)

Does anyone know how some of these big name freshman we signed have been doing? I read the article where Petrino said they need to be ready and stronger.

So I am wondering if anyone knows if Adams, Wright, Curtis, Wilson, etc.. have been working hard and getting bigger and ready for their freshman year where their name may be called to contribute right away.

We need some of the ...(more)

There has been A LOT of speculation on where he will be drafted.  Mock drafts are a dime a dozen and don't mean much of anything once the trades start.  Everyone keeps talking about need, but teams try to maneuver around to draft the player they need at the draft spot where they can get him.  Or they stay put and just take the best player they can when it's their turn ...(more)

Okay Darren McFadden and Felix Jones have been drafted in day one as expected.  How many Hogs will be drafted in total during this years draft?  I say Peyton Hillis, Marcus Harrison, Robert Felton, Matteral Richardson, Michael Grant, and Marcus Monk will also be drafted.

I hope someone takes a look at Matt Hewitt, Kevin Woods, Robert Johnson, Weston Dacus, and Nate Garn ...(more)

(POLL) Who do you think will win Rookie of the Year in the NFL next year?  I know this is early but I got to do something to pass the time until football season.  I really believe that Felix Jones will be the rookie of the year with his running game and special teams performances.  If you think someone else-let us all know your pick. Vote on!!

(POLL) I was just wondering how many people on here either attend or did attend the University of Arkansas? I have to select no. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington. So, why am I a Razorback fan? Most of my family attended the school starting with my great-grandmother.

I am done talking about Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, they are no longer Arkansas Razorbacks, that is the past.  Let us focus on a much brighter future.

Who all went to the game? What did you guys think?

(POLL) Here are a few teams with a shot at drafting DMAC.  Who would you like to draft him and why?  Not necessarily who you think will draft him -- that's a separate poll.  I know there will be trades and he could be drafted by someone else.  Feel free to mention other teams not listed.
