Don of a new day - NY Post

When Don McPherson enrolled at Syracuse, the Orange were coming off a 2-9 season, and the glory days of Ernie Davis and Ben Schwartzwalder seemed a distant past.

Orange report: Inside slant
The spring game looked a lot like the Orange's disastrous 2007 season. During the 37-play scrimmage, the Syracuse offense rushed 23 times for 56 yards. Determining why is not easy.

Orange report: Strategy and personnel
2008 OUTLOOK: Coming off a 2-10 season, this is a make-or-break year for Robinson, who was nearly dismissed after last season

Orange report: Notes, quotes
--Mitch Browning and former Orange standout Dan Conley joined Robinson's staff

Still no answers with Syracuse secondary picture muddled
Greg Robinson came into spring practice not knowing who would wind up starting in the secondary next season. Four weeks and nine practices later, the Syracuse head coach knows just about as much now as he did then.

It'll be Primetime 8 pm on national television (ABC) on September 13th.  Cuse could be 2-0 going into the game.  Our first two games are @ Northwestern and at home v. Akron.  Northwestern was 6-6 last season but they lost 10 starters and Akron was 4-8 and they lost 11 starters.  Winning those first two would help draw fans to the game, hopefully we can draw a sellout.  ...(more)

To me this is really cool, Cuse football has a chance to be happy for a while. Lets absorb the moment while we can before this season.

Congrats, Don
