FINAL RECORD
9-22 overall, 3-11 in the conference, seventh place.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
The Pilots did not have many injuries and a lot of players got significant playing time. They played their best game on the final weekend of the regular season -- a win over Santa Clara -- and a lineup change Eric Reveno made late in the season seemed to improve the team, although it did not produce many wins.

WHAT WENT WRONG
The Pilots paid the price for their youth, lacking consistency and the ability to finish a game. They lacked a star player who could be counted on to score in the critical situations. They lost six of their final seven games, including a first-round loss in the WCC tournament to Pepperdine, which was without its starting point guard.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"I'm optimistic our record is not a reflection of our team." -- Portland coach Eric Reveno, to the Portland Oregonian.
