FINAL RECORD
19-10, 12-6 MAAC, 3rd place, lost in the quarterfinals of the MAAC tournament to Marist.

WHAT WENT RIGHT
Charron Fisher and a blend of helpers were in great shape for most of the year and looked like a strong contender to return to the NCAA Tournament by defending their title. But the Eagles were tripped up in the MAAC Tourney opener. Fisher, the No. 2 scorer in the country, was NOT the Player of the Year in the conference in the eyes of the coaches but this was a conference that also contained a fella named Jason Thompson.

WHAT WENT WRONG
Obviously, that loss to Marist. The Purple Eagles won seven of their last 10 games but couldn't get it done with their season on the line in Albany. Niagara was only ninth in the MAAC in defense and that's always a tough way to win; even though Joe Mihalich has done it before. Niagara was a 3-point shooting team (707 tries, second in the MAAC) that went 6-for-21 from behind the arc in the final game.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"The NIT has become really hard to get into. The other tournament? We're going to cross our fingers and hope. I hope we've done enough. But we just don't know." -- Niagara coach Joe Mihalich, before his team didn't get in to the CBI.
