THE GOOD NEWS
The signature smothering defense didn't skip a beat under first-year head coach Jeff Reynolds as the Falcons led the Mountain West in scoring defense for the sixth consecutive season. Washington State (71), BYU (76) and Wake Forest (78) were the only opponents to score more than 70 points.

THE BAD NEWS
Air Force has lost nine straight Mountain West tournament games and 16 consecutive conference tournament games overall, dating back to 1990. The team also lost some of its home-court swagger, losing four times at Clune Arena after dropping just two games (56-2) in the previous four seasons.

KEY RETURNEES
Four of the top six scorers are back. Andrew Henke averaged 11.3 points and a team-high 4.5 rebounds off the bench. Freshman Evan Washington ranked second on the team in rebounds and scored in double figures six times. Anwar Johnson reached twin digits 10 times.

ROSTER REPORT

--Senior Tim Anderson showed why he was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year by setting a school and conference tournament record with seven steals against San Diego State. The second-team all-conference selection finished second in Air Force history with 175 career steals.

--Junior sixth man Andrew Henke scored in double figures in eight of his last nine games, averaging 14.1 points and shooting 46.5 percent (20-of-43) from 3-point distance during that span.
