This isn't good for the MWC to have a up-and-coming team hit with NCAA sanctions.  We at UNLV know all about them.  According the the following link, New Mexico's basketball program faces loss of scholarships and/or loss of post-season eligibility due to academic failures.

As agreed on other threads by the likes of theriverrock, dcut03, bills123buff, RebelFan3, myself and some others, its time to concentrate on the upcoming season. If we get Thomas or Jasper, GREAT! If not, the quality of future recruiting classes will depend on the Rebels success on the court.

Troy Cages' uncle has posted that Troy will be leaving UNLV after summer classes. He has discussed things with the coaching staff, and it looks like there will only be limited minutes for him in the future.

It could be argued that no incoming freshman here at UNLV has created as much buzz as 7' center Beas Hamga.  Rivals 5-star rankings, and Youtube clips aside, what are your realistic expectations for Beas in 2008-2009?
