The Egg Bowl is one of my favorite annual rivalry games because it never seems to go the way most expect it to. The underdog is 5-1 ATS the last six years in this game, and I think that trend will continue because this is Ole Miss' bowl game this season. They aren't eligible for the bowl season and coach Matt Luke takes this game very seriously. The Rebels will be ready.

This is just too many points in a rivalry game historically dominated by the underdog. The motivation edge lies with the Rebels, who need a victory to become bowl-eligible. They have dropped four straight, but were competitive in each game well into the second half before coming up short. They should be in a good spot against a Bulldogs club that has alternated dominant performances with subpar ones most of the year. Ole Miss has plenty of wiggle room to beat this number Thursday in what rates to be a high-scoring contest.

Besides being a rivalry game, the Rebels are far too talented to miss out on Bowl season. With five wins, look for the Rebels to bring their 'A' game. They have a shot to win straight up.
