Memphis has extreme home-road splits, so it won't be a surprise if they struggle Friday to put away a Tulane club that should play with a sense of desperation. The Green Wave let potential wins slip away against Wake Forest and UAB. Now, this one looms as essentially a must-win of they want to reach a bowl game. Tulane has big-play ability in its passing game, and its defense must get off the field against the Tigers at times. But the Green Wave got a taste of handling a high-powered offense last week in their loss at Ohio State.

The Green Wave have fallen ATS in all but one of their last 11 in Friday games. Meanwhile, the Tigers have covered in six straight. On any day but Saturday, they are on a remarkable 15-0 roll straight-up. No other analysis is necessary.

A lot of points were scored the last time these teams met. The Memphis Tigers are explosive on offense. The running game has been the most impressive to me. When you add the element to score from anywhere on the field, it's spells a long day for any defense, especially the Green Wave.
