Texas Tech is in a bit of rebuilding mode, as it loses about 80 percent of its offensive production from last season. The Red Raiders will break in a new quarterback and a relatively inexperienced group of skill players. Their always-suspect defense could be in trouble against an Ole Miss offense that returns all of its talented wideouts and most of its offensive line. The Rebels should have the edge in Saturday's season opener.

I like the Rebels' defense, and they've got a real good QB in Jordan Ta'amu. They're going to be able to score a bunch. Texas Tech's three Big 12 wins last year came against the conference's dregs. I took the points in this one.
