PINSTRIPE BOWL (Bronx, N.Y.) -- It wasn’t long ago that Boston College was the poster chid for bad offense. In 2015, it ranked 121st for average points per game (17.2), then tied for 118th (20.4) last year. This season, the Eagles are up to 84th (26.2). More importantly, they are at a 36-point clip over the past half-dozen outings. Four of their last six games have surpassed 50 points. As for Iowa, a 28.3-point norm puts the Hawkeyes in midpack. Freezing temperatures could put a crimp in the scoring, but B.C. can travel on the ground, as its No. 27 rush ranking (224 yards per game) suggests. This rock-bottom total for the postseason is a no-brainer.

The dirty little secret about Steve Addazio's "dudes," is that they actually play a little bit of offense in addition to their defensive prowess. They averaged 6.8 yards per play and 437.7 yards per game in November, running back AJ Dillon (1,432 yards) has been incredible they will own the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

PINSTRIPE BOWL (New York City) -- Iowa’s defense is the reason why they enter this game as slight favorites. What they’ll be facing in this matchup is a consistent, dedicated ground game of Boston College. The Eagles are also very opportunistic defensively and solid within the front seven. They play the same game as the Hawkeyes, but just a little bit better. Take Boston College and the points.
