Tulane averages 266 yards rushing per game and Memphis allows 212 yards rushing per game which is part of the reason why the top bet is the Over. The Tigers average 40 ppg and 492 ypg, they'll be fine. In fact, Tulane won't be able to stop them all night.

Tulane has impressed me this season, even costing me a win with a backdoor cover a week ago at home against South Florida. But the Green Wave does not play as well on the road as they do at home, and the Tigers are rolling after a come-from-behind win at Houston a week ago. Memphis just beat another similar -- but more talented -- team in Navy, and it has impressed at times this season. Though the Tigers have not covered many double-digit spreads (one, in fact) due to their putrid defense, they should be able to take down the Wave and cover the number this week.

The Tigers have ruled this series, winning 10 straight outright and the past six by double figures. They enter this one with an advantage. They defeated Navy and its option-based offense two Saturdays ago. The Green Wave subscribes to a similar approach, so Memphis will be prepared better than most defenses that face an option attack. In straight-up terms, the Tigers are unbeaten at home, Tulane unrewarded on the road. The Tigers are accustomed to working on non-Saturdays; this marks their fourth Thursday or Friday date of the season.
