It’s tough not to at least mildly be impressed with Tom Herman’s Longhorns. Losses of five points or less to Oklahoma and USC -- both games away from home -- are acceptable, and the 10-point loss to Maryland in the opener is forgivable for a team with a new coach. But I’m looking at Oklahoma State’s wins: 35 over an underrated Tulsa, 38 on the road at Pittsburgh, 43 against Baylor and a clean seven against a talented Texas Tech. The most likely result on Saturday is a rout by the Pokes, and if I need seven late, I’m trusting Mason Rudolph and James Washington more than Sam Ehlinger, who needed two OT to beat Kansas State. I wish I got in at 6, but I’m comfortable enough at a touchdown.
