There's been a bit of a misplace steam on the Red Raiders in this one. West Virginia nearly upset TCU last week and appears trending in the right direction, while I expect Texas Tech to see its annual drop-off following a tough loss to Oklahoma State. The physical Mountaineers have dominated this series of late, including a 31-point road win last year. The price is pretty affordable Saturday.

The trusty projection model sees the surging Mountaineers beating the pass-happy Red Raiders by at least a touchdown Saturday and covering the spread in nearly two-thirds of simulations. West Virginia has shown a balanced offense and improved defense, nearly pulling an upset of TCU last week. Look for the Mountaineers to take care of business in this one.
