Hurricane Irma wiped out a pair of FSU games after the opener, and the only uninjured Seminole who might benefit is QB James Blackman. The freshman -- stepping in for Deondre Francois, finished for the season -- has had no shortage of practice reps. His teammates could show some rust against the Wolfpack, who have logged three wins. They are 15-5-1 ATS in this series dating to the 1990s and 6-2 in Tallahassee.

Florida State lost star QB Deondre Francois to injury in the Alabama game on September 2nd. Here it is Saturday, September 23 (three weeks later) and new QB James Blackman has no significant game experience. Blackman is a true freshman. He must be impressive because I felt there were two better quarterbacks on the roster than him. There was a 6-point drop to JJ Costentino, so lets say Blackman is a good as Costentino. NC State has revenge from last season on its mind, and is a very good football team. They have enough talent that if Florida State is not ready, the Wolfpack could win the game. The Seminoles should be rusty, and I'm not sure where their minds are after losing to Alabama and dodging Hurricane Irma.
