It's been an oddsmaker’s nightmare all season on Lafayette. I've harped on this fact all season long, and will conclude with it here. A shift has occurred as the Cajuns finish out the season, as they've been strong against the number. They've done so by trusting their defense and toning down expectations of the offense. It's worked as turnovers have dwindled. Monroe is a team that can't function successfully without pace. Look for Lafayette to disrupt Monroe's pace and win the turnover battle.

The Cajuns are one win away from bowl eligibility. This has the potential to be a shootout as both defenses have been questionable at best. However, the Cajuns won a game last week with a defensive stop inside the 15-yard line. Impressive. That leads me to believe that they’ll realize what awaits for them if they can beat their most hated rival in the Warhawks. Lay the points.
