The Tar Heels will be one of the biggest public sides on Saturday’s card. Although I believe Virginia might be a stickier underdog than most observers believe, I think going Under the total is the stronger position. Virginia will have to go on time-consuming drives in order to keep the Tar Heels off the field and shorten the game. The Cavaliers should be get their share of stops. But if the game is a blowout, it’s hard to imagine Virginia scoring enough ti threaten this total, so the Under is the play.

I really like this North Carolina squad, and I believe I have about 2.5-points of value with the number at Virginia. Give them good weather and their air attack, led by Mitch Trubisky, is tough to stop. They had a four-game win streak going until Hurricane Matthew slowed them down at home against Virginia Tech and then they regrouped and won last week at Miami as a 6-point dog. Virginia gives up 450 ypg and UNC will take advantage of it like Pitt did last week in scoring 45 points. Lay the points with the Tar Heels.

The Tar Heels have one of the best QBs in the country in Mitch Trubisky and he leads one of the best offenses in the ACC against a defense that hasn't shown it can get off the field. Virginia's passing game is inconsistent and will struggle against UNC's opportunistic back seven.
