I think Purdue is an underdog most handicappers won't find appealing, but I think the Boilermakers are in a decent spot. The program fired coach Darrell Hazell after last week?s blowout loss to Iowa despite the fact the Boilermakers are 3-3 and have shown some improvement compared to last season. Nebraska could be in a look-ahead spot as trips to Wisconsin and Ohio State await in the following two weeks, and last week?s game against Indiana went to the wire. Look for an inspired effort from Purdue and a cover of this big number.

Purdue shocked everyone by beating Nebraska 55-45 last year as 7.5-point home dogs, but don't expect to see anything similar this time around. Nebraska hasn't exactly played the toughest schedule, but its defense has been very impressive against teams similar to Purdue. The Huskers have allowed 22 points or fewer in five of their six games. Look for last year’s score to serve as motivation for the defense and shut down Purdue's offense. The total is too high here.
