These have been the two best defenses in the MVC during conference play and I expect this to be a close battle. I'm leaning Illinois State's way because the Redbirds rebound better, force more turnovers, don't foul as much, and so far MVC opponents have only hit 19.5% of their threes against them. That's a trend that can't last. I don't hate taking Illinois State on the moneyline, but I'd rather have the points.
