This is a battle for first-place in the Southern Conference, something expected from Furman before the season, but not East Tennessee State in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. But ETSU is undefeated in conference play and most of the reason is from a sticky defense that allows opponents to shoot only 40 percent from the field. Great defenses always travel well and this one has helped ETSU to a 6-1-1 ATS mark on the road. ETSU is the play.
