Talk about busted brackets. Underdogs have kicked tail in the NIT, and the pattern could continue here. At a minimum, the Spiders will keep things tight and bright. They have covered in eight of the past 11 ventures on the road and already have one away win in the tournament over Alabama. The Horned Frogs are on a 4-9 ATS slide. The NIT, as a whole, is more meaningful to the mid-majors.

The Projection Model shows TCU and Richmond clipping the Under by double figures when they meet Tuesday in an NIT quarterfinal game. The Horned Frogs needed 94 points to beat Iowa in overtime Sunday, but they tend to prefer a moderate pace and yield just 70.6 points per game. Grinding Richmond has similar defensive numbers and seems to thrive when it can muck up and slow down the tempo of a game. Look for this grinder to go Under with ease.
